Rich was born in Philadelphia to the late John and Madeline Corbett. He served in the US Navy as a medic then went on to become a respiratory therapist. He was one of the longest practicing respiratory therapist in New Jersey, well over 50 years! While working at Temple Hospital He met his future wife, Susan, who was attending nursing school. “She was holding a full bedpan and her name tag read ‘S. Brown” so Dad’s opening line was “I think I know what the ‘S’ stands for”.
