Richard Shale Liebman's Obituary
Richard Shale Liebman, 68, died on July 27, 2026, at the Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center. Richard was born on December 30, 1957 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Arnold Liebman and Shirley Goodman Liebman and moved with his family to New Jersey as a boy. After completing high school, Richard attended the University of Maryland. Richard worked for many years in the automobile industry.
Richard was an avid reader with a love of history. He was a math wiz and a trivia buff. An enthusiastic sports fan of all stripes, Richard especially loved playing golf, starting out shagging balls for his parents as a kid, caddying in high school and enjoying many rounds with his brother Alexthroughout his life. Richard also loved all kinds of games, notably those where he could combine strategy, his considerable skills and chance.
Richard was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and great-uncle who will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and step mother, Beverly Pawson. He is survived by his sister Evelyn Liebman and her husband Rene Demuynck, Jeanne Liebman Albanese and her husband Brian, Alexander Liebman and his wife Jennifer Platt, niece Sophia Demuynck and her wife Heidi Demuynck, nephew Valere Demuynck, niece Joy Liebman, great nephew Cooper Demuynck and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
