Richard L. Miller's Obituary
Richard Leon Miller, 90, of Willingboro, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023 with his wife by his side. Born on October 2, 1933 to the late Charles Miller and Sara Mae Miller (nee Davis). Devoted husband to Margaret “Peggy” Louise Miller (nee Hughes) for 69 years. Dear father to Richard Leon Miller Jr, Karen McIntosh, Kathleen Bensel (Ralph), Linda Miller, and Lisa Bensel (Richard). Beloved grandfather to 7 and great grandfather to 7. He was predeceased by his brothers Leonard and Donald.
After graduating from Boiling Springs High School in Boiling Springs, PA, he enlisted in the US Air Force. He served for 20 years. After, he was employed by Imo Delaval in Lawrenceville, NJ for 23 years. He loved the outdoors. He and Peggy loved to go backpacking, camping, and traveling. They visited all 50 states, Canada and traveled internationally.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with his funeral service at 6:00pm. Burial will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The family kindly requests no flowers due to national cemetery guidelines.
