Richard Ross' Obituary
Richard Ross, 68, of Maple Shade, NJ passed away on December 5th 2022.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on September 30th, 1954 to Martha Ross (nee Newborn) and the late Samuel Ross.
Loving husband of Anna Mae Ross (nee Marinucci). Beloved father to Anna Mae Sokos and Nicole Haase (David). Cherished Pop-Pop to Richard Haase, Addison Haase, and Christos Sokos. Also survived by loving brother Marc Ross (Kathy), and sister in law Tisha (Bill), as well as many nieces and nephews.
As a kid Rich could always be found outside playing sports, especially street hockey, with his friends and brother. His love for sports carried throughout his life. Rich was the biggest fan of the Philadelphia Flyers and never missed watching a game. Rich also had a love for music, especially Frank Sinatra, and spent many nights DJ'ing weddings in South Philly. In 1982 Rich met Anna Mae and their love story began. Married in 1984 Rich spent the last 38 years being the best husband. Being a dad was Rich's proudest accomplishment and the love he had for his children and grandchildren is indescribable. Rich loved cooking, the casino, vacations with his family and friends, going out to eat, playing with his grandkids, and bringing his wife wherever she wanted to go.
Rich's jokes, sense of humor and contagious smile will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 8:30am to 10:30am on Saturday, December 10th , at Givnish Funeral Home in Maple Shade, located at 600 E Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ, 08052. Immediately following the visitation there will be a celebration of life starting at 10:30am., also at the funeral home. Following the service, burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Road, Yeadon PA 19050.
