Richard A. Wallace's Obituary
Richard A. Wallace, 67, passed away suddenly as a result of his longstanding heart disease, on April 30, 2022. Loving husband to Bonnie Wallace (nee Lord) for just shy of 35 years. Dear father to Gina Wharton (Joshua) and Jeffery Picerno (Amy). Devoted grandfather to Owen, Alexander, Emma and Micah. Brother to Carol Palmer (Bill) and the late Harry “Pete” Wallace (Nancy).
Rich was born in Philadelphia and moved to Audubon, NJ where he graduated from Audubon High School in 1971. After high school Rich attended Baptist Bible college and eventually went to work in IT for Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania, now Verizon. He retired early from Verizon and was able to relocate to Florida where he was able enjoy the warm climate, lack of snow and being able to enjoy Orlando’s theme parks year-round.
Rich loved to keep up with the latest emerging technologies. He also enjoyed model railroading and local history particularly historical rail lines. Rich derived much joy from his beagle Penny, whom he doted on. Rich recently moved back to New Jersey and was grateful get to spend more time with his family, especially watching movies together with his grandchildren.
