Rita enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas when her grandchildren would help her decorate while she played The Jackson 5 and various other Christmas albums. Sometimes she even left the decorations up until almost Easter! She took great joy in gathering the family together for Memorial Day parties where she would serve her famous macaroni and cheese. Rita and her siblings would often laugh and dance the night away. On family birthdays Rita would call and blast Stevie Wonder’s “Happy Birthday Song”.
