Robert Charles Barry Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Charles Barry, Sr., of Delran, passed away suddenly on January 27, 2017. He was 65 years old.
Bob was the beloved husband of Joan E. (nee Burns) for 43 years. Loving father of Robert C. Barry Jr. and Kelly Antonietti (John). Dear Pop to Johnny and Jack Antonietti and Emma Carroll. Loving Brother in Law to Jim and Mary Ann Burns of South Carolina, and Debbie Burns of Cinnaminson. Loving brother of Joseph Barry of Florida. Also survived by many other extended family members.
Bob proudly served his country in the US Army, both state side and overseas. He was also a life time member of the VFW Post 3020 in Riverside NJ. Following his career in the military he started working at Express Scripts as a Pharmacy Production Clerk and became a member of Cinnaminson Fire Department, where he achieved life member status as well as Fire Police Captain. He also was proud to serve on the Burlington County Fire Police. As a member, Webmaster, and Range Safety Officer of the Delran Junior Marksman Club, he took pride in teaching others and was especially proud to be an instructor for the Women on Target class.
He will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob’s life celebration gathering at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on Thursday evening, 7 - 9 pm and Friday morning, 8:30 – 10:30 am. His funeral Mass will follow at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, 4th and Linden Ave., Riverton. Interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
