Robert “Bob” Cleve Beers, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Moorestown on August 27, 2017. Bob was a Mauch Chunk High School graduate class of 1947, and went on to receive his B.A. in Chemistry from the University of P Read Obituary
I was privileged to have Pop Pop in my life for about 20 years or so. He was a sparkling person, full of humor, pep, and good advice. He lived his life large. I admired his wit and intelligence. When I married his son, William (Bill), (1975-1997) he welcomed me into the family with love. He and his wife Shirley (Nana) were always so hospitable and kind and worked hard to provide many lavish meals at holiday occasions or family gatherings, in addition to well thought out fun holiday celebrations. I'll never forget those those great turkey and gravy sandwiches on a bun after Christmas or Thanksgiving. Turkey BBQ? I have never had anything like that since. Thanks, Nana and Pop Pop!
It was great to see him again in 2012, at David's wedding. I continued to love him and Nana, even after I was no longer part of the family. He was a genuine and wonderful individual, and I feel blessed to have known him, and to have had his influence on my life, as well as my children, David and Marisa, and grandchildren, Aiden and Rachelle's lives. I have many fond memories of being in that family.
I honor him today, the day of his celebration of life. My prayers are with Shirley, and all of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for healing and recovery from their grief.

My thoughts and prayers are to Shirley and her family. Both Walt and I shared many good times with Bob and Shirley. He was a great friend to Walt and I and we were proud to have him as our best man at our wedding. One of my memories with Bob and Shirley was playing Pinocle with his mom.
