Robert W. Bishop's Obituary
Robert W. Bishop passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, April 26, 2024. He was raised in Mt. Laurel by his parents, Doris and Frederick Dunn, and went home to be with the Lord at the age of 82.
Bob was the beloved husband of 56 years to Michelle (nee Rothman) Bishop, and the loving father to Jonathan L. (Christa) Bishop, Jeffrey D. (Shannon) Bishop and Deborah Lynn (Jonathan) Nazigian. He was the cherished Pop-pop to 8 grandchildren: Olivia, Christian, Jack, Grace, Ethan, Brooke, Sam and Luke, and was the older brother to his siblings, Doris Wilson, Diane Labine, Joanne Heron, MaryAnn Brokaw, and Frederick Dunn. Bob also had many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bob proudly served his country in the National Guard and was a self-employed electrical contractor. He enjoyed classic cars, building and flying model airplanes, golfing, watching WWII movies and documentaries, was a world-class prankster of his younger siblings, and always had the best jokes and one-liners at every family gathering.
Bob loved building and fixing things around the house, and could keep any mechanical device running for long after its intended shelf life.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 30th from 10 am to 11am at Givnish of Marlton, 398 East Main Street.
Bob’s funeral service will begin at 11 am. The burial will follow at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
