Robert W. Edwards' Obituary
Robert W. Edwards, of Moorestown, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on June 9, 2022, with his wife by his side. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Lenape High School.
Robert was the beloved husband of Ellen (nee Shiplee) for 55 years; loving father of Sherrie Hosbach and Scot Edwards (Marie); cherished grandfather of Katrina and Julianna Hosbach, and Vivian Edwards; dear brother of Carol Sharkey.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, John and Edith Edwards, and his siblings, John Edwards and Janet Dulisse. Robert is survived by many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
After graduating high school, Robert served in the US Navy for 4.5 years as a navigator during the Cold War. Bob worked as a machinist until retirement. He served as Cub Master of Cub Pack 44 of Moorestown. He was very active in the Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed spending a lot of time with his grandchildren, gardening, and travelling with his friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, on Thursday June 23rd from 9:30 to 11am. His memorial service will begin at 11, followed by interment with military honors in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. There will be a luncheon following the interment.
