Robert J. Eichhorn's Obituary
Robert J. Eichhorn, of North Cape May, passed away peacefully after a long illness on April 30, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Elmer and Marie (nee Nolan) Eichhorn, he was 91 years old.
Bob was the beloved brother of Gerald Eichhorn (the late Marie) and the late Mary “Dolly” Blaskvitch; cherished Uncle of Jerry Eichhorn (Lynn), Donna McCool (Chris), Daniel Eichhorn (Kim), the late Richie Eichhorn (Aimee), Susan DeMarco (Jim), Barbara Blaskvitch (Ed), Michele Blaskvitch, and Gail Pacifico (Rocco). Bob is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews, friends and extended family who will miss him greatly.
Bob went to North Catholic High School and was a star pitcher for the team. North Catholic won the state championship with Bob being the winning pitcher. He was later named the MVP of the tournament. He was an avid baseball fan all his life, having received a scholarship to be a pitcher in his younger years. He went on to live in California and Florida much of his life and enjoyed the warm weather. He loved to travel and appreciated cars. Bob was self-employed as a painter for many years. You could say the greatest love of his life was baseball, and of course spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Services for Bob will be private for the family.
