I hired Bob to work at the Job Center for the Deaf. My superiors questioned hiring him I found him to be an asset, well liked by the clients and staff as well as knowledgable of what is out there. Most importantly, he loved what he did, and gave much more than 100 percent to assure that Deaf clients succeed and had a bright future. Bob never accepted failure, it made him work harder. I lived next door to the Lodges in Oaklyn until I moved away in1979. Bob encouraged me to join the NJ Air National Guard, which I never heard of. At that time the draft was in effect and my number was low. I remember Bob in his uniform, a Major at the time I believe.
I Joined the NJANG in 1972 and stayed just past 25 years. I have him to thank for the great experiences it provided........Ken J.
