Robert Pozzi's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Pozzi on May 7, 2024. He lived a long fulfilling 96 years of life, which is truly a blessing itself.
Born on October 23, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, Robert was the beloved child of the late Francis and Alda (Sorgini) Pozzi.
Robert is a WWII US Navy veteran, serving four years active duty, receiving a WWII Victory Medal and 4 years in the Naval Reserves. He served on the USS Terror, USS Rodman, and USS Spokane. He was very proud to be a Naval Veteran.
After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he took on many jobs in Philadelphia, driving Taxis and driving for United News. After moving to South Jersey, Robert dedicated 26 years of his life to the US Postal Service as a mail sorter, retiring in 1992. His commitment and contributions to his profession were greatly valued by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Robert was a pillar of love and support to his family. His legacy lives on through his children: Suzette Fuchs (Scott), Ann Brown (Rick), Karen Skaggs (Mark) and the late Frank Pozzi (Deborah). Robert’s love extends beyond his immediate family, as he was also a beloved grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren embracing the happiness of yet another generation. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
