Robert J Shannon, of Silver Park West Edgewater Park, NJ.
Bob was 88 years old and born in NYC raised in the Bronx. Parents Howard and Olga Balkau Shannon. Beloved husband of Carole Simmer Shannon.
Loving father to Terry (Bob) Jones, Kelly (Ray) Thorpe, Robert (Ellen) Shannon, Robert Petrowicz and James Petrowicz. Predeceased by sons, Keith, Eric and Kory Shannon. Loving Grandfather to 5 and Great Grandfather to 4. Also survived by brothers Raymond and Richard Shannon.
Bob retired as a dock supervisor from New Penn Motor Express. He went on to work and retire as a toll collector from the Burlington Bridge Commission.
Bob will always be remembered by family and friends as a bigger than life person. We will be sharing Bob stories for a long time. Next time you hear Frank Sinatra sing "That's Life" think of Bob.
