Roger Benson Hogan's Obituary
Roger Benson Hogan was called home to God’s Kingdom on Monday, October 28, 2019. He was 82 years old.
Roger was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Elissa B. (nee Berenz); his five loving children, Gerry(Robin), Timothy(Suzanne), Elizabeth, Michael(Suzanne), and Thomas(Francine); and his 9 grandchildren.
Roger was a 1958 graduate of Villanova University with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering. He worked for RCA and GE as an aerospace engineer. He received the 1985 AIAA Haley Space Flight Award as part of a team that regained control of a satellite thought to be lost. He was manager of the TIROS satellite program, and contributed to several patents.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, Mt. Holly, NJ https://samaritannj.org/ and WHYY public television https://whyy.org/ Services will be held privately by the family.
