Rosalie Grace Kaufman's Obituary
Rosalie G. Kaufman (nee Calabrese) passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2020, at her home in Jackson, NJ with her loving and devoted husband Roy by her side. Born in Mt. Holly to Dominic and Cecelia Calabrese, Rosalie was 75 years old. She was a resident of Mt. Laurel, Maple Shade, Spring Lake Heights, and finally Jackson, NJ for the last 22 years.
Beloved wife of 28 years to Roy Kaufman. Loving mother of Thomas (Lee Ann) Lillagore. Jr. Cherished Grand mom to Joshua Lillagore, Jesseca Lillagore (Quinn) and Jordan (Brooklyn) Lillagore, and Adoring G.G.to Quinn.
Rose grew up in the Hartford section of Mt. Laurel on her family’s farm. After graduating from Lenape High School Class of ‘62, Rose attended beauty school and graduated as a licensed hair dresser in 1963. She worked the next 20 years in at a few local salons until the 80’s. Rose then moved to Spring Lake Heights, NJ and worked for Mr. Anthony’s Coiffures in Sea Girt. It was in 1988 that she met her Prince Charming. They later married and built a beautiful life together in Jackson.
Rose kept life very simple and chose to concentrate only on things that mattered most to her. Rose loved her large Italian family, she had two aunts (Grace Ciletta and Francis DiGalbo) and four uncles (Joe, Carmen, Alex, and Mike Monte) and many first cousins that she deeply loved and cared for. Rose had several neighbors and friends that she was fond of as well. But it was her husband and their son, along with his family, that were her most prized treasures.
A private entombment at Lakeview Memorial Park will be held for immediate family only.
