Rose Ward's Obituary
Rose Loretta (Coates) Ward, of Moorestown, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late George and Margaret (Hinkle) Coates, she was 90 years old.
Rose was the beloved mother of Stephen Ward (Deborah) and the late Michael Ward (Lisa). Cherished grandmother of Stephanie, David, Bradley, Juliana, and Mia. Great grandmother of Zoe. Rose was predeceased by her siblings, Anna, Margaret, Elizabeth, George, Eugene, Edward, and Joseph. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Rose’s family and friends affectionately called her by many different names: Gram, Granny, “Hey Lady”, Rosie, Rosebud, “Annie” for her Zoe, and Grandma. She was a firecracker and full of life; some may call her a bit stubborn. Rose loved spending time with her family, especially attending plays and playing hide and seek with Zoe. Rose loved the Phillies, the Flyers, traveling, and attending senior citizen activities with her late sister-in-law, Ethel. She even taught some of her grandchildren how to bowl and drive. She lived a wonderful, full life, and will be truly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, November 14th, at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, from 10:30 am to 12 pm. A memorial service will begin at 12 pm.
Rose’s service will be live-streamed and can be viewed using this link: https://my.gather.app/remember/rose-ward
