Rosemarie C. Saponaro passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Care One in Voorhees, NJ. Born in Philadelphia to Peter A. and Florence (nee Cianfrani) Saponaro, Rosemarie was 93 years old. She was a resident of Egg Read Obituary
Rosemarie had a number of cousins who are very sad to hear of her death. All of us wish her a peaceful rest . She, her wonderful brother Richard, her Mother and Dad were loved by us and we remember all the good times we enjoyed together.

Aunt Rosemarie we will miss you. Even when you were not feeling well you still made it to celebrate one last time with us. So glad we had you in our lives. I pray you are resting peacefully.
One last story; As I was preparing to leave the east coast for a new life in California, I was chatting with Rosemarie, knowing that she travelled the world and she was very excited about my new adventure. She did express concern about me being in California with "all those liberals". She was reassured to know that I was fine and happy that I found someone to spend my life with. Rest Rosemarie, your spirit of travel adventure will continue to inspire me. I will visit Armento, Italy (the ancestral home of the Saponaros) with our son, Nicholas and bring her memory and the memory of our Dad, Dick Saponaro, and our grandparents.
Another story: After I was divorced, Rosemarie was concerned about me being alone. She saw a lady newscaster on TV and thought I should date her. I reminded her that I was gay and she didn't skip a beat, she said what about the nice boy on TV, Jim Donovan? Not long after that, she was please to know that I was dating Jim Donovan.
A couple of stories: I used to love visiting Rosemaries apartment in Philadelphia. It seemed liked it was in the sky, but really it was probably on the 10 floor. She would have us over and Marilyn and another lady cousin were always there dressed in fabulous mid century outfits. Rosemarie had this tiny tree with tiny oranges which fascinated me. She was so glamorous to me.
