Rosemary E. Lutz's Obituary
Rosemary Lutz (nee Schaaf) passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in Limerick, PA to Joseph and Sarah Schaaf, Rosemary was 85 years old. She was a resident of Cinnaminson since 1974.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas C. Lutz. Loving mother to Maryann Knell (Edwin) Tom (Bistra), Jim (Cherie), and Nancy Astacio (Paul). Cherished grandmother to Nicholas Lutz (Ashley), Jaclyn Knell (Chris Conova), Ryan Lutz, Veronica Knell, Michael Lutz, Maxine Lutz, Nathan Lutz, Lauren Astacio and Leah Astacio.
Rosemary was a dedicated Mother and a fierce defender of her children and grandchildren. She led by example in showing us how to work hard, be accountable, and to do the right thing. Her love and devotion are the foundation that enabled all her children to build successful relationships and careers. The greatest compliment we can give our mom is that she always made us feel safe and her support was never in question.
Rosemary had a deep love for her grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with them at school and sporting events and imparting her wisdom. Her love for her family was unwavering and served as the foundation of her life. She had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed camping in her early years of marriage going to many places in tents, campers and motorhomes. In the 80's that passion was moved to spending time in Sea Isle city boating or reading a book at the house. Sewing was another of her talents and passions. She crafted beautiful quilts that will are cherished by her loved ones for generations to come. And who could forget Rosemary's end-of-day ritual? A well-deserved Manhattan was her way of reflecting on the day's events and sharing stories with friends and family. As we say goodbye to Rosemary, let us not mourn her passing but celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, September 12th from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North.
Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Cinnaminson preceded by her eulogy. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to A.A.L.I.V.E. (Adults with Autism) www.aalive.org
