Roy C. Shinn Sr.'s Obituary
Roy C. Shinn, Sr. passed away peacefully on March 29, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born in Moorestown, Roy was 87 years old. He was a resident of Maple Shade for the last 57 years. Beloved husband of 62 years to Laura M. (nee Leitenberger). Loving father of Roy C. Shinn, Jr., Deborah (Albert) Walters and Robert (Pattie) Shinn. Cherished grandfather of Jessica Walters and Bobby and Christopher Shinn. Brother of Betty Knight, Walt Shinn and David Shinn. Roy proudly served his country in the Air Force. Roy was head custodian for Russell Knight School in Cherry Hill. He also was a welder for RCA.
Roy was an avid Phillies fan, enjoyed watching airplanes, listening to western music, traveling to the shore and most importantly Roy loved being with his family.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade. His Memorial Service will follow at 12:30 p.m.
Interment, Military Honors, will follow at Bethel Memorial Park.
