Ruth Janet Bear, 93, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2021. Loving wife to the late Robert I. Bear. Dear mother to Daryl Bear (Deborah), Randy Bear (Sheryl), Robin Schoonmaker and Brian Bear (Jayne). Beloved grandmother to Wes (Shinko), Kriste (Dan), Ashley (Brandon), Tim, Leah (Kevin), Dana (Chris), Sarah, Colin and Taylor (Kristen). Great-grandmother to 10. Sister to George S. Moore (late Irene). Mother-in-law to Rob Schoonmaker.
Ruth married Robert in 1949 in Boulder, CO. They were married for 47 years before his passing in 1996. Together they were entrepreneurs in various business ventures including a Midas Shop, record store and a fastener business. Ruth was the family matriarch often bringing everyone together. Ruth is most well known for her strong faith in Christian Science, her love of piano and her creative writing including a new Christmas poem shared annually with family and friends. She will be missed by her Girls Club, a group of life-long school friends. A memorial service will be held privately by Ruth’s family.
