Saintvierge "Marraine" Castillant's Obituary
Saintvierge “Marraine” Castillant (nee Lozama), of Pennsville, passed away on April 3rd, 2025. She was 87 years old. Marraine was born on April 20th, 1937, in Plaisance, Haiti, to the late Adma Lozama and the late Italia Vague. Devoted wife to the late Christopher Castillant. Loving mother to Sheila Kethlene McGuffie (Rev. Eden), Wladimir Castillant (Maude), and Georgie Solito. Stepmother to Marlene Emmanuel. Beloved sister to Saintalia Lozama. Beloved grandmother to Jonathan, Calvin (Karecha), Donald, Vanessa, Andrew (Lauren), Melissa, Justin, Zachary (Jami), Jacob, Nadege, Joshua, Jason, Tashina, Karen, Kaci and great grandchildren Nicole, Israel, and Karlie.
Marraine had many names that she went by: to Justin she’s “Doggie”, to Zachary she’s “Coconut”, to Jami she’s “Pooki”, to Donald she’s “Kid"; to her siblings she is "Keen" and to some nieces she is "Maye".
She was cherished by many nieces and nephews: the Lozama’s: Ed, Bertude, Novita, Pricille, Jeff, Keturah; The Joseph’s: Rose, Judette, Hebert, Lynda; The Cham’s: Liliane, Solange, Marie, Martha, Rose; The Lacombe’s: Vedna, Joyce, Doris; Fernande Doxy. She is survived by a number of grand and great grand nephews and nieces, and she was also cherished by many cousins, Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday April 12th, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. at the Haitian Baptist Church of Willingboro. Located at 203 Sunset Road. Immediately following the viewing there will be a funeral service beginning at 9:30 a.m., also at church. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
