Sally A. Emrey's Obituary
Sally A. Emrey (nee Hamill) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 10, 2019. Born in Philadelphia, Sally was 97 years old and warmly touched so many lives during those years. She was a resident of Cherry Hill, NJ.
Sally was the beloved wife for 64 years of the late Jack (John) T. Emrey and the loving mother of Barbara A. Daniels.
Cherished grandmother of Steven (Catherine) Daniels, Ryan (Amber) Daniels and Laura (Jon) Kelly. Great grandmother of Shannon and Thomas
Twin sister of the late Sister Rose Corde, and sister to the late Rosemary Olliff, Alyce Filer, Edward Hamill (Bud), James Hamill, Bernice Bridgeman, John Hamill and cousins Rosemary and Sister Marie Jude. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Sally lived for her family and loved hosting family and friends, spending time with grandchildren & great-grandchildren (and thoroughly spoiling them), traveling with her husband Jack, sharing laughs and smiles with her daughter and sisters, reading countless books, and was notorious for handing out sweet treats to all. Faith was a large part of Sally’s life which was evident through countless prayers, saying the rosary daily, and her involvement in St. Leo’s Parish of Tacony Philadelphia.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, October 18th, from 10-11 a.m. at St Joan of Arc Church 100 Willow Bend Road Marlton, NJ. Her Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
