Salvatore DiLisi's Obituary
Salvatore DiLisi, 63, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, with his family by his side. Born in Carini, Palermo, Sicily on May 11, 1962, to Giacomo and Concetta DiLisi (Cucci).
Devoted husband to Nancy Sparacio for 38 years. Loving father to Giacomo Antonio DiLisi (Isabella) and Valeria DiLisi. Proud Nonno to Angelina DiLisi. Dear brother to Croce DiLisi (Susanna). Sal will be missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
When Sal was 10, he and his brother came to the United States for a year in 1972. He returned permanently in 1977, where he would soon open Pizza Plaza, later known as DiLisi Ristorante, in Bridgeton, NJ. It was there that Salvatore discovered his passion for running restaurants. His employees often spoke—years later—about everything they learned byfrom him. He was a devoted, hardworking boss who never said no to a task and had a remarkable ability to ensure everything was figured out.
Sal was known not only for his work ethic but also for the meticulous and precise way he approached everything he did. Everyone who met him instantly loved him. In his downtime, he enjoyed working on his race cars, building engines and tending to his yard and garden. Everything he did he put his heart and soul into. Above all, Sal was a devoted and loyal family man.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. His Funeral Mass will follow at Sacred Heart Church in Riverton, NJ at 1:00 PM. Entombment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ.
