Salvatore Troia's Obituary
Salvatore Troia, age 76, of Cinnaminson, NJ, peacefully passed away at his home on September 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 26, 1947, in Carini, Sicily, to the late Epifanio and Rosa Troia. Salvatore was the devoted husband of Rosa Troia (nee Alfeo) for many cherished years. He was a beloved father to Stefanio Troia (Jennifer) and Daniela McCraken (Jamie) and a doting grandfather to Alessia, James, Natalie, and Olivia. He will be deeply missed by numerous family members in Italy.
Salvatore immigrated to the United States in the 1970s and established two successful restaurants, Sal's Pizza and Pizza Amore, in New Jersey. After reuniting with his wife and childhood sweetheart, Rosa, in America, Salvatore dedicated his life to his family. His relentless work ethic was a testament to his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. Outside of work, Salvatore found joy in dancing, traveling, savoring delicious cuisine, and tending to his garden.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd, at Sacred Heart Church in Riverton from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Salvatore's memory to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (stjude.org), honoring his profound love for his children and grandchildren.
