Samuel Russo Jr.'s Obituary
Samuel Russo Jr., of Royersford, PA, formerly Camden, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, at the age of 62.
Born to the late Samuel and Irene (nee Iezzi) Russo Sr., on February 3rd, 1963. Sam is the beloved brother of Philomena Molnar, the late Russell (Jean) Russo, and the late Margurite Russo. Growing up, Sam and his family were incredibly close. Sam was often found outside playing with his neighbors and friends. As a teenager, Sam attended Camden Catholic High School.
As Sam and Phil grew up, Phil attended Kane Business Institute. At her graduation, Sam met the love of his life, Colleen (nee Kane), who was supporting her own loved ones. Sam and Colleen felt an instant connection, one that would surpass any trials or tribulations. Sam and Colleen dated briefly, becoming the ambassadors of the saying “When you know, you know.”, and married in April of 1988, in Camden, NJ.
Through marriage, Sam gained his sister-in-law Kathleen Kane Esq., and her husband Jonathan Rodis. In addition to his brother-in-law Thomas Kane Esq. and his wife Sheryl (Brown) Kane.
Sam and Colleen shared their love by welcoming their loving children into their lives, Samuel Russo III, Megan Russo, Thomas Ryan (Hailey) Russo, and Daniel Patrick Russo. As a family, they enjoyed watching sports together, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. When it came to sports, Sam’s love of the game extended from professional to college teams. As his children grew up, they gave him the greatest gift of all, his grandchildren, Gianna and Samuel Russo, with a third on the way.
Sam had many loves in his life, his family, his Eagles, and his love of 80’s dance music. In his younger years, Sam and his sister would DJ parties together. Sam enjoyed spending time with his family, and collecting Eagles jerseys, with a collection of over 50!
Sam will be remembered fondly for his kind, gentle nature, and heart of gold.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sam’s visitation on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, from 11 am to 12 pm, followed by a service at 12 pm, all to take place at Givnish of Marlton, 398 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ.
