Sara-Marie K. Kipp's Obituary
Sara-Marie K. Kipp (nee Keul), of Haverford, PA, formerly of Riverton, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2023.
Sara-Marie (Sally to her friends) was born March 25, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA to Sylvester Edwin Keul and Sara Elizabeth (nee McLaughlin) Keul. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 2014, her brother Sylvester (Ed) in 2001, her son, Donald Martin in 2008 and her daughter, Cheryl, in 2010. She is survived by her son, Richard (Darcy Allen) and her grand-daughter, Kristen Dodds.
Sara-Marie attended Little Flower, The Cecilian Academy and Temple University in Northeast Philadelphia. She was a lover of the performing arts and participated in theater and sang while in school, in addition to playing cello and piano. She was married to Henry in 1950 and had her three children in 1951, 1954 and 1959. While raising her children she volunteered on the Sacred Heart Parent Teachers Association and participated in the Riverton Woman’s Club. Once the kids were grown Sally worked as a travel agent before moving to California in 1978 where she worked for Bayer until her retirement in 1991. Sally loved to travel and managed to step foot on four of the seven continents and most of the fifty states. She enjoyed our annual trip to the Preakness and a trip to the casino was never out of the question. She had a quick wit. Never met a pun she disliked and was a lover of fashion (Bob Mackie will surely miss her!).
She made friends wherever she went, and they are missing her dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday March 18th at Sacred Heart Church, 4th Street and Linden Ave, Riverton, from 10 am to 11 am. A Mass will begin at 11 am.
The service was livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting the "Photos and Videos" tab on your pc, or the "Media" on your smart phone.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sara-Marie’s memory may be made to the American Lung Association (www.lung.org).
