Sean D. McGann's Obituary
Sean D. McGann, 58, of Delran, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his residence. Born in Willingboro, NJ, to John J. and Joy A. McGann, Sean was a longtime resident of Delran, having lived there for over 25 years. He grew up in Somerdale, NJ. Sean is predeceased by his father, John J. McGann.
For more than 30 years, Sean worked as a video editor at Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, NJ, where he was known for his dedication, skill, and work ethic. He took great pride in his career and the people he worked with.
Outside of work, Sean was passionate about collecting Superhero comic books, an interest he nurtured throughout his life. His love for Superheroes was not only a hobby but a way of embracing the ideals of hope, justice, and perseverance.
Sean had a gentle spirit, a quick wit, and a big heart. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor as well as his kindness, loyalty to family and friends, and the quiet ways he made the world a better place.
Sean is survived by his mother, Joy McGann, his sister Sandi (Michael Martin) Sofroney, his two nieces, Rachel Sofroney and Olivia Sofroney and many cousins, friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Givnish Funeral Home, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ. A Life Celebration service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
