Here it is, August 1, 2019. I finally figured out how to do this. Of course, I am so sorry for your loss of Selby. He sure was a funny guy. I read the other tributes and it seems funny is mentioned a lot. Mike continues at least one of Selby's jokes: There is a nip in the air. I hope all of your memories give you peace of mind that he is in Heaven.
Selby. My friend, Debbie, moved tp Olney when we were 13. Her dad was so funny & pleasant. Always made it fun for us kids. Ballgames, Cherry Hill Mall, rides in the brown station wagon. He took me for my driving test in Mr. Ruggio's red vega. I passed!!! He couldn't believe it. He said he lost all faith in testing. HaHa. Who would think she would marry my brother, Steve. Ever since, we've been part of all family functions which have always been a bright spot in our lives with Selby being the life of the party. He will be missed..........
How can I share one memory of Selby? He and Betty have been part of everything that has happened in my life for the 59 years I have known. All the good things and all the bad they were always there ready to give a helping hand or comforting word. We shared vacations, Phillies games--when they weren't even winning, from Connie Mack to the Vet. Selby was always there with a joke which we might have heard before, but he always made me laugh.
He was a caring, generous man, a devoted family man and Marine forever. He will be missed for years to come. We will always remember his jokes, his popping his cheek for any baby around and just his BEING SELBY.
We are all blessed he was in our life.

Our pet chicken, Pickle, would run so fast to the fence to see Selby and look forward to getting treats from him. He will always be known for "Keep the Noise Down" and "That's what she said". He always made people smile! Love you and miss you Selby!!!!
There are so many fond memories of Selby that I’m not sure I can put them in a few words. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. You could never be sad when he was around because he always had a joke or funny story. One story that I think of all the time is “head for the round house, they can’t corner you there.” I have to smile every time I think of it. Basically, I smile every time I think of Selby. We are all truly blessed for having known him and he will be missed but our beautiful memories will sustain us.
