Shirley A Palsatt's Obituary
Shirley A. Palsatt, of Willingboro, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022 at age 90 with her daughter at her home. Born on February 29, 1932 to the late Earle Groves and the late Gladys Dorian (nee Harrington). Devoted wife to the late Jerry Palsatt for 28 years before his passing in 2009. Dear mother to Susan Green and step mother to Michael Palsatt and Lecia M Palombi and her husband Michael Palombi. She leaves behind her faithful cat Misty and Kenny Kenny, her Belgian Malinois companion.
Shirley was born and grew up in Athol, Mass. After graduating from High School she joined the Women’s Army Corp which she was proud to have served. Shirley moved to Willingboro in 1959 as an original owner. She began her career after the move at Ritter Finance then continued on to McMillan Publishing in Riverside, NJ, where she made lifelong friends working as a supervisor. Shirley loved a challenge, so in the later 70’s she began a distinguished career in the pool business working at Solar, Aluna, and Cherry Hill Pool services. In retirement, she loved to play cards with her friends and family, making the occasional trip down the shore with Jerry and her bestie Sue White to gamble at the “Let it Ride” table at Harrahs. Shirley loved to enjoy life whether singing piano bar or doing the jitterbug, she was a force to be reckoned with and will be surely missed.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, March 29th at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130, from 10 to 12pm with her funeral service following at 12pm. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
