Most people called him Sid but I knew him as Skip. He lived diagonally across the street from me. My mom babysat his kids. I used to feed & take care of their dog, Nanook, as a young teen. He paid me in Avon products, as Skip was an Avon rep. Growing up, you could hear beautiful music coming from their house. I learned later that it was Skip playing classical piano music. Before he became an engineer, he studied piano at Juilliard. He's the founder of the Animal Adoption Center in Lindenwold & has been an animal advocate as long as I can remember. I don’t know much about it but the Animal Adoption Center is still in existence. He was vegan. He worked for RCA and invented an electric car in the 70's. He was really unique, interesting, creative and intelligent. He was conscious & conscientious of our environment & all the living things that live within it. I missed Skip's service today because I had an appointment for a kitten I'm fostering. I think Skip would be ok with it! Sorry for the family's loss but WOW...what an amazing legacy he has left!
Sincerely,
Wendy Sanders
