Susan D. Grady's Obituary
Susan D. Grady, 77, of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2026.
Born on January 27, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, Susan was the daughter of the late Dorothy Holzer and late Thomas Hillman and was lovingly raised by her father, Howard Magrann.
She was the devoted wife of the late James J. Grady, Jr., with whom she shared many years of marriage before his passing in 2023. Loving mother of James J. Grady (Sandra), Michael P. Grady (Tricia), and Susan D. Grady, and the late Daniel P. Grady. She was a cherished “Mom Mom” to Joey, Kristen, Nicholas, Michael, Kaitlin, Matthew, Karly, and the late Brian Grady, and a proud great-grandmother to Connor, and the newest great-grandchild, Elizabeth, who is due to be born in May.
Susan is also survived by her brothers, Michael Magrann and Robert Mcgrann, and was predeceased by her siblings, Alice Scheer and Thomas Hillman.
Susan grew up in Philadelphia before moving to Maple Shade, NJ, where she raised her family. She had been a resident of Marlton for the past 36 years. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, especially during trips to Wildwood. Susan loved staying connected with friends and family, often spending hours on the phone. She enjoyed dining out and never passed up an opportunity to share a meal with loved ones. She enjoyed spending time listening to records, especially those by Elvis Presley, whose music held special meaning to her, as her brother Tommy had served with him and cherished an autographed keepsake.
She also had a love for Mustangs, especially her first—a 1964 ½ Mustang—which held a special place in her heart. Susan adored her pets, especially Chucky, Coco, Jackie, Lola, and Lucy, who were constant companions throughout her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street, Marlton, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan’s memory may be made to the Animal Welfare Association, Voorhees, NJ.
