Susan and I became friends again after 50 years of not having any contact. We had a lot of time to catch up on, we talked about everything. She always seemed to feel under the weather, but doctors never seemed to be able to find anything until late last year. We really enjoyed our conversations, we had many laughs. I had taken Susan to my prom and she told me we left early. I didn't remember that and she remembered a lot of things that I didn't. She may have been putting me on. We talked about going to lunch, but that never happened. That is something I will always regret, thought we had more time. I miss you already my friend.
Sue used to come to my house for Sunday dinner…she loved my moms mashed potato’s we use to fight over them, who would get the leftovers…my mom and dad use to listen to Al Jolson and Sue was on her knees singing mammy to my father and they were both laughing…my mom said she could eat dinner with us any time as long as she brought us rye bread from Richmond bakery where she worked part time
I Remember when we graduated in June of 1972…Sue told the gang that we hung out with that her mom bought her a Volkswagen Beetle and she was lying but she told them that it was parked between two cars down the street and when everybody went to see the car…it was a toy model of a VW …and she laughed and laughed because she pulled one over
