Theodore T. Wompierski's Obituary
Theodore Thomas Wompierski, age 75, of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, passed away on January 29, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Ted was born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania on July 1, 1949 to Theodore T. Wompierski Sr. and Eleanor (Peletski) Wompierski. After spending his early childhood years in Pennsylvania, Ted and his family relocated to NJ, where they resided in Toms River before ultimately settling in Cinnaminson. Ted was a member of the inaugural graduating class of Cinnaminson High School in 1967.
After briefly attending La Salle College, Ted left school to take a full-time job with Ford Motor Company in 1969, where he worked for nearly 40 years as a warranty auditor. He joined the New Jersey Army National Guard in 1970, where he proudly served for 6 years.
In 1981, Ted met fellow Ford employee Susan Rubenstein in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The couple married in 1983 and subsequently welcomed sons Theodore Jordan in 1988 and Bradley Scott in 1990.
Ted absolutely loved being a father. “There was nothing better than coming home and having two fantastic little boys running to greet me,” he fondly reflected in his later years. “It doesn't get any better than that.”
An avid enthusiast of anything with a motor, Ted enjoyed building and collecting model cars, trains, and airplanes, and he was meticulous in doing so. Beyond modeling, Ted’s real-world handyman skills knew no bounds. From massive projects like decks, pools, and sheds to simple fixes around the house, Ted was a talented DIYer who could build or repair almost anything, and his family members were the grateful beneficiaries of his craftsmanship for decades.
Motivated by his passion for history, Ted also enjoyed collecting coins and stamps. He loved a good family meal, and his legendary roast dinners will be remembered for generations. Ted could sail through a game of Jeopardy with ease, and he had a soft spot for animals, both wild and domesticated.
Ted leaves behind his wife Susan and his children Jordan (wife Jackie) and Brad (wife Victoria). He was also “Pop Pop” to four adorable grandchildren: Juliana Kelly, Theodore Jacob, Jenevieve Michaela, and Cora Elise. Ted also leaves behind three siblings: Stanley Wompierski of North Carolina, Michael Wompierski (wife Gloria) of Virginia, and Carol Harrison (husband Bryan) of Pennsylvania, as well as several nieces and nephews and his canine bestie Shelby.
In keeping with Ted’s wishes, no funeral services were held.
