Thomas S. Chichester's Obituary
Thomas S. Chichester, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21st,
2022 after a shockingly sudden, brief battle with cancer.
Born to the late Donald and Louise (Sawyer) Chichester, he was 83 years old.
Thomas was the beloved husband of Suzy M.C. Chichester (Schatz); cherished father of
Christina Chichester and Thomas Chichester and his wife Keiko. He was predeceased by his
brother, Fred Chichester (Pat). He will be missed greatly by his brother-in-law, Steve Schatz, his
many cousins and longtime friends, as well as the neighborhood dogs he always warmly
greeted as they took their owners out for evening walks.
He was a technical writer by trade and for many years, a volunteer fireman as well. He was
always supportive of his wife’s political endeavors and shared her enthusiasm for women’s
rights. Taking care of people was his deepest motivation. If his neighbors found their trash cans
brought back from the curb or their newspaper placed gently on their porch, it was probably him.
He even liked to keep cold water bottles in his fridge to offer to the mail carrier on a hot day. He
simply loved to offer unexpected kindness. Please do the same in his memory, whenever you
can, wherever you can.
He loved learning new things, especially about technology, as well as music and entering
contests. Most of all, he will be remembered for his quick wit. He was a really funny guy, so
remember all the things he said and did to make you laugh and share that, too.
We love him and miss him so much.
Services will be private for the family.
