Mary Ellen
Oh Tom, when Mom had me, you were about to go into the Navy so we never had the chance to be brother & sister in the traditional sense. But that certainly wasn't a bad thing, especially in my teen-age years. Mom would certainly attempt to keep me sheltered but, thank God, I had two older brothers who would let me "live a little." Being 17 and having a new drivers license, I was the "it" girl in school when it was time to take an unauthorized day off from school.....because of you. Having a big brother who worked at a car dealership, who would give me the keys to a new car for the day, enabled a few 17yr old girls to let loose a little. Mom would have given us so much trouble over it.....although I think she knew. Fun times, much laughter, fond memories.
Rest in peace bro......until we meet again.
