"Hey Cous":
I just did not know where to send these feelings today so I have come here.
Missing you SSSOOO much. Remembering how much fun we would have during the football season beginning with us as kids. Me coming to watch you play pee wee, to playing on Thanksgiving day, to watching with pride as you played your first high school football game for Bishop Eustace.........and then all of our memories as EAGLES fans.
Last night I told your family that I just knew that you were teaching Jesus the EAGLES fight song during the shutout of the NY Giants. I miss you cous, so much. I can feel you here with me. Usually by now on this day we have had multiple wwhhooohooo's about the victory and our joy. So I am sending all of them to you through my spirit to your spirit.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Flanagan family at this time of sorrow. Although we didn't know Tom, he had to be a wonderful man to have a brother like Jay and a sister-in-law like Dawn. God Bless everyone!

Once in your lifetime, if your lucky, you have an opportunity to know someone who just gets it....just gets you. No explanations needed. Someone that can relate to your thoughts, feelings,emotions...knows who you are and accepts you for it. Someone that you can completely leave all guards down with, let them in, let's you get close and hides nothing. Someone who is the "real deal". Tom Flanagan, we wanted more. Thank You Lord for the time we had.

The last couple of days I have seen your family and friends come together Tom. To honor you, to miss you, to support each other in this very, very difficult time. The amount of people that came to pay their respects to you Wednesday night was such a testimonial to you. I am honored to call you my friend. I worried about your children, how will they handle it? But then I realized..........you are their Dad. You raised them. They will be okay, in time they will be okay. "Hey Cous"....my heart is heavy with grief, my eyes swollen with tears, but my memories are full of LIFE and LOVE. We shared a lifetime of LOVE and made many, many, MEMORIES together and for that I am grateful and finding peace. Just as you now are at peace my friend. Though we do NOT understand what Our Lord's plan is by taking you so soon, we have learned throughout our lives to TRUST. You have passed on all of your good qualities to your children, doing an OUTSTANDING job as a father and it shows. We have such a special family and I feel blessed to have had you with me in ours/yours. I will miss our little private talks. I will sing Thunder Road and Waiting on a Sunny Day in you honor, just like we would at our "Bruce" times. I will sing the EAGLES song and raise a glass remembering...I will love and miss you forever.

We are devastated by the loss of a good friend, father and co-worker. No words can express the sorrow felt by so many lives Tom touched. He was a unique individual and will be sorely missed. We are so grateful for the time spent together. Our sincere condolences to Tom's family. Our prayers go out for healing during this very difficult time.
