Tomasa “Matchie” Balaoro Carey, of Delran, NJ, passed away on June 27, 2017. Born to Carlos and Lourdes Balaoro in Oroquieta City, Philippines, Matchie was 68 years old. Matchie was the loving mother of Kristie Carey. Dear sister Read Obituary
Kristie, I know it’s been years since we spoke and I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. I’m late learning this news but my heart goes out to you. I really hope you are well and hope to catch up one day. Your mom was a wonderful lady. My fondest memory is her cooking. 😊
My heart is so sad for all of you. I am very sorry for your loss. I remember you all so fondly from the bank as such a tight knit loving family and I hope that doesn't change.

I can still remember Matchie's interview and her 1st few days as PI/QA Director of CCHSC, aka Lakeland. She was one (wo)man machine who worked very diligently & quietly, burning many hours particularly in preparation for JCAHO accreditation! Many times I passed by CCHSC, her office light was on into the evening hours and weekends! She held the hands of the executives, wrote the scripts and firmly guided them to all successful surveys! Matchie, you will be missed and how I wish you allowed us into your life when you were battling cancer.

Jack and I were so upset to hear the sad news today. Matchie was a great neighbor and we remember that she and her sister, Naomi were the ones who initiated a "get to know your neighbors" get-together, picnic a few years ago. RIP Matchie. You will be missed.

I am almost certain you were a student in my class at PTHS many years ago, and I wanted to extend my sympathy to you...losing your mother must be an awful thing. I lost my mom two years ago and I was 66...you are much to young to suffer this loss. Know that you are remembered and thought of very fondly. Mrs. Donna Smith, PTHS retired social studies teacher.

We have many good memories of Twig Lane and you and your mom were a big part of those memories.
You spent many good times at our house, and Wendy and Dave were your friends.
Your mom always had a smile. She used to braid Wendy's hair for her in a French braid.
Remember when she jumped in your pool fully clothed when you were floating face down. She thought you were drowning!
