Van Krienes' Obituary
Van Krienes, of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5th, 2023, in Marlton with family by his side. He was born in Franklinville, NJ to Stephan Krienes and Mary Alice (nee) Vanzant. Van was 67 years old.
Van was always handy and had the right tool for any job. He made his living as a Superintendent for various construction companies. He took pride in his home and passed those valuable skills down to his sons. He coached his sons’ sports teams. He was highly involved with the snack bar and projects at the local little league field. He was affectionately referred to as “Pop” by his family, friends and children’s friends. He wore that moniker proudly. And he made a memorable impression on anyone who knew him.
He was proceeded in death by his sister Mary Alice (Patrick).
Van was the beloved husband to Susan Krienes for 32 years, and cherished father of Michael Marsdale (Samantha), Nicholas Krienes (April). Beloved grandfather to Warren. Brother to Stephan (Barbara). Adored by his dog, Jax. Van will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Givnish Funeral Home, 398 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ, on Friday October 13, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. On Saturday, October 14th, visitation will be from 9:30-11:30am with service to begin at 11:30am. Family and friends are invited to fellowship at Barones following the service.
