Victor Elvin Miles, Sr.
Cherry Hill (formerly of Gibbsboro) - On January 11, 2018, Victor passed away peacefully in the care of his Higher Power, in the early morning hours at home. Beloved husband of Bobbie H. (nee Harris) Miles. Survived by sons Victor Elvin Miles, Jr. of Cherry Hill and Edwin Harvey Miles of Westville; and sister, Edna Garcia of Mystic, CT; 3 grandchildren, Woody (Vic III), Jenna, and Carrie; and 5 great-grandchildren. Also was father to beloved daughter, Donna, who pre-deceased him.
Victor retired in 1997 from Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Cherry Hill where he was an Alcohol & Drug Counselor in the Detox/Rehab Unit. He formerly managed McGroarty’s Liquor Store in Cherry Hill for 22 years. Victor was a member of the Freemasons and the Matt Talbot Retreat Movement, as well as a long-time “trusted servant” to fellow members of the AA 12-Step Program.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sun, 2:00-3:30 pm at the GIVNISH FUNERAL HOME, 398 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ. A Memorial Service will follow at the same location, at 3:30 pm.
