Vincent Albanese's Obituary
Vincent Albanese, 75, of Mount Laurel, NJ, formerly of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2024 with his family by his side. Born in Nice, France on March 26, 1949 to Salvatore and Maria Albanese. Devoted husband of 50 years to JoAnne Albanese (nee Duffy). Beloved father to Michael Albanese (Lauren) and adoring Poppy to Matthew Albanese. Dear brother to John Albanese and Ann Panek (Robert). Brother in law to Mary Guaracino (late Dennis), the late Patrick Duffy, Joseph Duffy (Patricia), Colleen Egolf (Marc), Kathleen Taylor (Russell), Lee Ann Duffy Roberts, and William Duffy (Lisa). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and his dog Dexter.
Vince served in the Army reserves from 1971-1977 and later worked in various positions in the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard, most recently as an NDT Inspector. Vince met his wife JoAnne through mutual friends at Gino's restaurant. They raised their family in Marlton, NJ where they resided for 29 years before retiring to Ocean View, DE and returning to NJ. Vince loved sports, especially watching the Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, and Flyers. Vince and JoAnne traveled all around the world. They traveled the United States extensively, visiting 38 states, as well as visiting many countries including Europe. On his downtime he loved watching movies, cooking homemade pizza for his family, drinking his martinis at home on Saturday nights, and finding the best bargains while shopping. Those that knew Vince would describe him as a loyal friend. Most of all, Vince will be remembered by his strong faith and the love that he had for his wife, son, and grandson.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, April 26th at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street, from 9:00am to 10:30am. His funeral mass will be held at 11:00am at St. Joan of Arc Church in Marlton, NJ.
