Walter J. (Walt) on June 19th, 2026, age 88 of Ocean City, NJ and formerly of Cinnaminson, NJ. Walt was an Army Veteran and a graduate of Northeast Catholic Boys High School and LaSalle University. He worked for INA and Cigna as a master underwriter for decades. Walt was known for his community-oriented life, family ties, and professional connections. His love of sports was a defining characteristic. If he wasn’t playing a game, he was coaching one, watching one, or talking about one. He loved his family and his country.
Walt was the loving husband of 45 years to the late Mary A. (nee Simone). Father of Mary E. (John) Lenart, of Mount Laurel, Deborah A. Rider (Vance Evans), of Cherry Hill, and Annette Rider-Boulden, of Mount Laurel, proud grandfather of John (Maria), Colin, and Austin (Emma) Lenart, Brandon Boulden, Nicole Hunt (Exavior), Daniel Boulden, and Zachary Palma, even prouder great-grandfather of Nico Lenart. Walt is survived by his sisters Patricia Estel, Marianne Magill, and brother Vincent Rider. He is predeceased by his wife Mary A, parents Mary A. and stepfather Raymond Magill, Walter and stepmother Anna Rider, brothers Thomas and Robert Rider, and sisters Elizabeth Reck, and Catherine Jenkins.
Relatives and friends are invited to Walter’s visitation on Saturday, June 27th, from 9-10:30 am, at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North. His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church, 2500 Branch Pike Cinnaminson, NJ at 11 am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ.
