William James Case's Obituary
William James Case of Mt. Laurel, NJ, passed away unexpectedly and was called home to be with his Heavenly Father at the age of 4 on November 27th, 2025.
William was born to James and Lauren (nee Ferguson) Case on September 29th, 2021, in Voorhees, NJ, alongside his twin brother Andrew. William is also the beloved older brother to his sister, Charlotte.
As a family we are grateful to have enjoyed spending so much time together and creating so many beautiful memories in William's brief life. William brought life and excitement to every moment, whether that be racing his siblings down Moorestown Main Street to get a blueberry bagel, sneaking Reese’s from the counter at Wawa, rearranging whatever he could get his hands on because he could do it better, or riding his bike around his Mom-Mom & Pop-Pop’s house with Andrew and his cousin, Ethan.
William’s silly, charismatic, outgoing personality made every day a joy to be around him. He lived a happy, innocent life and knew he was loved immensely. What a gift. Our precious William will be dearly missed and his memories cherished by grandparents Gregory and Joan Case, John Ferguson and Marie Ost, Beverly Newell and great grandparents Steven and Joanne Samuel, uncles Spencer Ferguson (Noelle), Samuel Case (Ashley) and Gregory Case. William’s cousins Ethan, Ashton, Grady, and Wyatt will miss the warmth and love of his presence in their lives.
William’s life was full of love, laughter, and fun. He enjoyed making friends wherever he went. William attended St. Charles Borromeo School where he looked forward to seeing his teachers and friends. He loved coming home to show his parents what fun things he learned or drew that day. The second he got home he’d run to the fridge, grab a magnet, and hang it up.
Outside of school, William loved to be outdoors and had an amazing sense of adventure and curiosity. When taking walks with his family, William would collect bags of acorns for his “acorn garden” - and then would get mad at the squirrels for messing up his hard work. He loved to plant seeds, water them, and watch them grow. One year was sunflowers, this year was pumpkins. Once he was outside, good luck getting him to come back in. William had limitless energy and a knack for climbing. One of his proudest moments was climbing midway up one of Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop’s Evergreen trees. For anyone who didn’t believe him, he had the sap in his hair for a week as proof. He’d also play in the sand for hours. Even the dark wouldn’t stop William; he would just ask Pop-Pop to bring out the flashlights. On rainy days, he could be found at the library with Nonna and GPop, causing absolute chaos by pulling every book off the shelf to put in his shopping cart. When reading books, William wanted his and his siblings’ names added to the list of characters in the story so he could imagine going on the adventures too. William also enjoyed going to Peekaboo Playground with his siblings to build towers, play in the grocery store, and sometimes even climbing their shoe rack. He loved watching PAW Patrol, and eating Chick-fil-a, but only if there was Chick-fil-a sauce, or as he called it, “yellow dip.”
William’s family will always reminisce on the memories that he leaves behind. His eagerness to return to the beach and jump over the waves, his love of swimming lessons and natural grace in the water, and his recent camping trip in the backyard of his great-grandparents house with Andrew, where William was the only one to last throughout the night in the tent. His parents cherish the memory of William’s love of milk, which was a requirement at night before he went to bed and before he would get out of bed in the morning. Just recently, he promised to stop drinking so much milk by the time he turned 5 because “big boys don’t need milk.”
In his four wonderful years, William's loving, carefree and creative spirit brought deep joy to all the lives he touched, and he will be forever in our hearts. He taught us many lessons, most importantly how to love life. William's work on earth is done, and he is home with the Lord. We take comfort in our faith that we will be reunited with him again. "May the angels lead sweet William into paradise."
