William J. Dougherty
Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Samaritan Hospice surrounded by his family. Bill fought a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia Pa., Bill was 80 years old. He was a resident of Cinnaminson for the last 49 years.
Beloved husband of 49 years to Dolores "Dee" (nee Bertolino.) Loving father of Kelly Rooney (Robert Jr.) Colleen Kenville (James) and Michael Dougherty.
Grandfather of Miranda, Grace, Kylie and Colin.
Son-in-law of Carmela Bertolino.
Brother of Anne Dougherty.
Bill was employed as Truck Driver Local 107.
Bill was very active in the St. Charles Borromeo Parish where he spent countless hours (over 40 years) with the Barn Crew preparing for the annual carnival, he was a member of the Holy Name Society and organized the annual St. Alphonso Retreat in Long Branch, NJ. Bill proudly served in the US Navy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bill's Life Celebration and viewing Sunday, April 9th, 6-9 p.m. and Monday, April 10th, 9-10 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. His Funeral Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Branch Pike and Pomona Road Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Parish PO Box 2220 Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
