William F. English's Obituary
William F. English, of Maple Shade, passed away on June 19, 2015. He was 88 years old.
Bill graduated from Roman Catholic High School before he joined the U.S. Coast Guard. As a WWII veteran, he then graduated from La Salle University and became a U.S. Treasury Agent for the IRS. Bill was a member of the OLPH Knights of Columbus and he coached CYO sports. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel.
Bill was the beloved husband of Rita J. English (nee Fernandez) for 67 years. Loving father of William F. Jr. (Carla), Denise Giosa (Anthony), Susan English (Joey), Donna Powers (Michael), Lisa Madden (James), Christine Ensign (Bill), and the late Deborah English McBride.
Dear grandfather of Justin, Shane, Jared, Anthony, Kasey, Lea, Elizabeth, Melissa, Zachary, Beck, Deborah, and Tyler.
Bill will be missed by his nephew and golf partner, William A. English (Cheryl), and his wonderful caregiver, Julianna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bill’s life celebration gathering at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade, on Wednesday, June 24, from 10 - 11 am. His Memorial Mass will begin at 11 am. Interment will be private.
