William M. Hoffman's Obituary
William "Bill" M. Hoffman, of Delran, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Bill was the beloved son of the late Emil and May Hoffman (née Boger).
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife Helene and their sons Billy and Danny (Lauren). He is survived by his devoted wife Gail Buma, daughters Kathleen Jaffe and Amy Haines, and his adored grandchildren: Samantha, Jacob, Olivia, Madison, Maxwell, and Xander. He is also remembered fondly by his cousin, Ed Murphy, and many close friends who became like family.
Bill was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School and St. Joseph’s University.
Bill had a love for classic cars—especially Corvettes—and spent the last two decades proudly showing his cherished 1966 Corvette Stingray convertible, earning numerous trophies along the way.
A man of many interests, Bill was a dedicated collector of old films and coins, a proud gardener, and a self-taught chef known for his special recipes. He was an animal lover with a soft spot for feral cats, and always willing to lend a hand—whether it was fixing something around the house or helping a neighbor with a project. He enjoyed years of fishing and golf, and spent many joyful days cheering on Philadelphia sports teams with his friends at Dooney’s Pub.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
