William "Jerry" Sandoz's Obituary
William J. Sandoz, of Marlton, NJ, passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 86. He was born in Camden, NJ, to Maurice and Jenny Sandoz and grew up in Palmyra, NJ.
Jerry was a longtime hairdresser and salon owner in Cherry Hill, Marlton, and Mt. Laurel. He was a highly regarded pioneer of precision haircutting in the seventies. He loved his industry and worked late into his life. In his early life he was a devoted son and nephew. His interests were varied and included riding motorcycles in the Pine Barrens and playing cards. Jerry was a good friend to many. He loved telling stories, dancing at weddings, and really good cheesesteaks.
Jerry was the devoted husband of Maria Sandoz and a cherished father to Michael Sandoz (Gina), Anthony DeLuca (Elena), and Angela DeLuca (Duncan Wright). Jerry was a loving grandfather to Siena, Christopher, Alexandra, Anthony, and Nicholas. He delighted in recent visits with his four great-grandchildren over fireworks on Fourth of July. He was a beloved uncle and cousin.
Jerry was preceded in death by two sons, Vincent and Mark, as well as his brother Rene.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish Funeral Home, 398 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ, on Monday, January 13th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM.
