William M. Jones' Obituary
William M. Jones passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 26, 2024. Born in Milwaukee, WI to Robert W. and Margaret (nee Lokatos) Jones. Bill was 67 years old.
Formerly from Northfield NJ, he was a resident of Marlton NJ for the past 38 years.
He was the beloved husband of 42 years to Maureen R. (nee Gannon) and loving father of William S. Jones and dear brother of Lynn (Paul) Wertzberger. Bill was the cherished brother-in-law of Kathryn (the late Frank) Lihotz, Susan Ward, Theresa (James) Bryan, Rita (Paul) Baloche, Jeanne (Ken) Chiacchio and William (Dani) Gannon. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Bill received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Virginia Tech.
As a PE, he worked in the Oil refining industry for Exxon Mobil, Valero and Paulsboro Refinery Company (Core Engineering),
After retirement, Bill enjoyed working as an Uber driver in his spare time. He selflessly helped family and friends in any capacity, and was a volunteer blood donor for many years. Bill was an avid cook and music lover. His favorite days were spent with family in Sea Isle, NJ.
The family will be planning a memorial service for Bill at a later date.
