William D. Morgan's Obituary
William (Bill) Dawson Morgan, age 81, of Delran, formerly of Cinnaminson, passed away at University of Pennsylvania Hospital on 12/1/17 with his family at his side. William Morgan was born and raised in Dearborn Michigan. Upon graduation from Western Michigan University in 1961, Bill moved to New Jersey, where he met and married, Marilyn (Luszczewski) Lusz.
Mr. Morgan served his country as a radio operator with the Navy Reserve, Air Squadron, VP731. He also worked for several companies in sales and marketing of industrial products, retiring in 1999 from Demag Delaval, Turbine Division in Trenton.
Bill was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, the Knights of Columbus - Council #1436, St. Charles Holy Name Society and the Ancient Order of Hibernians - Division 1, Burlington County. He was also a member of Clan MacKay Society of the U.S.A. Over the years, Bill volunteered as a Boy Scout (Troop 9, Palmyra) leader; an usher at St. Charles Borromeo Parish; a financial counselor thru Burlington County 4-H and with Habitat for Humanity. In addition he served for over 25 years as a volunteer for Hamilton Horizons Federal Credit Union, holding many posts, including Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Bill enjoyed dancing with his wife, playing golf, fishing, and travelling. He especially enjoyed spending winters in Florida, or visiting with family and friends in Michigan.
Bill Morgan is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, children Anthony (Jennifer), Heather Lewis (Stacey Telenson), plus grandchildren, Christopher A. Lewis and Josephine F. Morgan. He is also survived by a sister Nora (Dennis) Szymanski of Benton Harbor, Ml. as well as several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents Frank and Bridget Jane Morgan, step father, Robert Mackey and sister, Frances Sullivan.
Bill’s viewing will take place at Givnish Funeral Home’s Cinnaminson location from 6 – 9 pm on Sunday 12/10/17 and from 9 – 10 am on Monday 12/11/17. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Cinnaminson on Monday, 12/11/17 at 10:30 am, followed by his interment at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the NJ Veterans Memorial Home at Vineland in his honor.
