William Salowe's Obituary
William “Bill” Salowe of Marlton, NJ passed away peacefully on July 26, 2018. He was 97.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Plainfield, NJ, and lived most of his life in Edison, NJ. Bill was a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the 100th bomb group. He received his MBA from Rutgers University and spent his career as a CPA, ultimately retiring as a partner of Deloitte. He then began a second career as an accounting professor at Rutgers University. Bill was an avid sports fan, rooting for the New York Giants, New York Yankees, and, especially, his beloved North Carolina Tarheels.
He was a devoted husband of 32 years to his late wife Janet Salowe (nee DeMarco). He is survived by his sons David (Joanne) and Jeffrey (Naomi) Salowe. He was a caring grandfather to Rebecca, Daniel, Phillip, Aaron, and Leilani. Bill leaves behind his brother Allen Salowe and his dear friend Elaine Honart.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on July 31, 2018 at Givnish of Marlton from 9 am to 10 am. Following the gathering, a service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10 am.
